A banner day. Or at least a sign day.

OK, maybe it's actually been a few days and maybe they haven't all even been collected by me, but nonetheless, we've gotten a whole bunch of free signs recently.  Here they are:

From fabulous Olive, NY. and, below, from Woodstock:

Below: I forget where this was from but the sign looks as ragged as the stuff.

Above: in front of the massage therapist's office.  Below, in front of "the leprechaun house" in Rhinebeck, so named because of its tiny arch, seen in the background here.

From in front of our new house in Rhinebeck.  I think I recognize the handwriting on that sign.

Above, on the way to school in Rhinebeck.

A class act in West Hurley.

In front of the Christian Science church.  The implications are curious.

Above, superstar contributor Kimmie C. sent in this pic from who knows where and below, a shout out from Brooklyn from rising star contributor Jenny K.  A year's subscription to eHarmony goes out to both of these fine dames as our little way of saying "thanks."  xoxoxoxo

Foreshadowing?

Used envelopes from the US Post Office.  The free box before the big yard sale.  A case of personalized note cards goes out to lovely SRO as our little way of saying "thanks."

Post Irene

The hurricane hit the Catskills really really hard.  Lots of people lost their homes and businesses and are still without electricity or fresh drinkable water.  It's really weird.  Anyway, here are some free signs spotted around Woodstock two weeks post Irene.

A miraculously dry couch.

Mattress and box spring.  Someone up the road could certainly use this.

Free vegetable oil.  Really?  WTF?  In front of someone's house.  Used vegetable oil, too, from the looks of it.  Maybe someone should call those Greasy Rider dudes.

Labor day weekend

Why work when there's so much good free stuff?
