It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

A couple from a late autumn day in Woodstock.

And a couple from diminutive yet loyal reader Jenny K.  A carton of sani-wipes goes out to J.K. as our little way of saying 'thanks.'

What's free?

Loyal reader Andrea M. sends in this fine example of the quintessential white trash free sign: spray paint on plywood.  A carton of Kodiak goes out to Andrea M. as our little way of saying "thanks."

We really wanted the propane tank

For some people, I guess, summer is not really over until you give away your barbecue grill.  Thanks to super swell reader Alice M. for snapping this shot out Blue Mountain way.

Nice.  A conditional free.  If you've got a bad home, don't bother.

Below: the last pic from a banner Tuesday of free signs in Rhinebeck.

I spotted all of them while out riding bikes with boy wonder, Moss.

His bike is shiny and red.

I guess Tuesdays are the get rid of your chair days.

Moss was extra curious about this army helmet.

And a mattress from Woodstock.

A stray sign from Woodstock.

This one found in front of Jenny's old Jane St. digs, sent in by Jenny K's old neighbor and loyal free signs reader, Rachel D.  A carton of Kools goes out to Rachel as our little way of saying 'thanks'.

And below, a shot sent in by Jenny K. herself!  Quel coincidence!  A bushel of hugs goes out to loyal pal JK as our little way of saying 'thanks'.

And one to grill on....

Free movie

Loyal reader and all around inspiration Sarane O'C. sends in this blog's first ever free movie!  Extra points for brevity earns Sarane 2, count 'em 2 cases of Cheval Blanc St. Emilion from the fab Y2K.  A very good year indeed.  Hope you got the bike too.  Thanks SO'C.

Free weights. Hilarious.

Above: as reader Wyatt S. pointed out previously, these machines should come with a clothes hanger adapter.

The garage of a yard sale in Rhinebeck.  We bought a great collander.
Below: A gorgeous old Singer sewing machine near home in Lake Hill.

My boy loves to bike.  We got a softball outta the empty looking box.
Below: A casket?  A casket with legs?

And last but not least.  Free weights.  Sent in by someone and I can't find their email anymore.  If it was you, please come by and get your prize: a case of Vitalabs Muscle Maker 3.  Andro-free.  Ta.

Sign of the times.

As the Occupy Wall Street movement spreads across America, loyal reader and part-time garden gnome Dr. P. Jom D. sends in this curious sign.  We could have sworn that we'd already posted it, but a lengthy perusal of all previously posted free signs comes up empty-handed.

A case of Ben Marco Malbec goes out to P. Jom as our little way of saying "gracias."

Jesse Ventura sat here.

Maybe.  Maybe not.  But I'm pretty sure he taped "free" on this fine specimen sent in by reader Claire M. from Minneapolis, MN.

A banner day. Or at least a sign day.

OK, maybe it's actually been a few days and maybe they haven't all even been collected by me, but nonetheless, we've gotten a whole bunch of free signs recently.  Here they are:

From fabulous Olive, NY. and, below, from Woodstock:

Below: I forget where this was from but the sign looks as ragged as the stuff.

Above: in front of the massage therapist's office.  Below, in front of "the leprechaun house" in Rhinebeck, so named because of its tiny arch, seen in the background here.

From in front of our new house in Rhinebeck.  I think I recognize the handwriting on that sign.

Above, on the way to school in Rhinebeck.

A class act in West Hurley.

In front of the Christian Science church.  The implications are curious.

Above, superstar contributor Kimmie C. sent in this pic from who knows where and below, a shout out from Brooklyn from rising star contributor Jenny K.  A year's subscription to eHarmony goes out to both of these fine dames as our little way of saying "thanks."  xoxoxoxo

Used envelopes from the US Post Office.  The free box before the big yard sale.  A case of personalized note cards goes out to lovely SRO as our little way of saying "thanks."

Post Irene

The hurricane hit the Catskills really really hard.  Lots of people lost their homes and businesses and are still without electricity or fresh drinkable water.  It's really weird.  Anyway, here are some free signs spotted around Woodstock two weeks post Irene.

A miraculously dry couch.

Mattress and box spring.  Someone up the road could certainly use this.

Free vegetable oil.  Really?  WTF?  In front of someone's house.  Used vegetable oil, too, from the looks of it.  Maybe someone should call those Greasy Rider dudes.

Labor day weekend

Why work when there's so much good free stuff?
